Michelle's Grooming Emporium was established in 1999.  Michelle Whipple (I) have been in the grooming industry since 1985.  With over 21 years of experience, I am well versed in all of the aspects of grooming including hand scissoring, hand stripping, clippering, de-shedding, as well as the handling of  'difficult' pets. I have worked and mentored under several different businesses and people during my career, including professional handlers in the show circuit.  I have learned many different grooming techniques, and am fluent in most all breeds' trims.  Every year, I attend at least one educational trade show/seminar to continue my education and experiences in the industry.  I have learned about skin care, as well as the effects of diet, and what is actually in dog foods, so I can help give everyone as much help as possible in taking great care of their pets.  I have also learned about shampoos, conditioners, and medicated sprays, as well as flea treatments.  I have not competed in the grooming world of competition due mostly to time constraints, as I would rather show and compete in the horse world!!  When pets come in, they are usually happy to see me although I will get a few that get a bit anxious about the whole procedure.  I have done the absolute best I can to acquire the best equipment and products available to the industry to keep your pet safe and happy while here.  I do not ever leave any pet unattended while under a dryer.  My dryers are all low heat or no heat so you never have to worry about your pet suffering under a hot dryer for hours on end.  Our tables and restraint systems are designed to keep even the most active pet safe during the grooming procedure.  Your pets safety and comfort are of utmost importance to me.  I disinfect every tool and crate after use on every pet so you don't have to worry about your pet getting sick here either.  If you come into my shop and look closely, you will find bottles of spray disinfectant everywhere; on crates, at every grooming station, in the tub room, out in the office, that way messes can be cleaned and disinfected immediately! Our boarding facility was designed to keep your pet as safe and comfortable as possible as well. Each of the outdoor runs are approximately 110 square feet a piece.  The indoor runs vary from 16 to 40 square feet.  I give each and every boarding pet some one on one time every day they are here.  I only have room for 7 different owners pets at a time, this way I can spend time with each pet on a one on one basis daily.  The outdoor runs were designed to eliminate 'fence fighting', and keep your pets sanitary.  By using glazed block for the first three feet of height in between each run, and then coated chain link fencing six feet above that, there is at least nine feet of fence to keep your pet inside, safe and sound.  We used crushed limestone as a base instead of concrete so your pets feet will not get sore from running in thier urine and poo.  We clean runs daily, and disinfect after every dog.
